TC-SW8D
8-Way Wireless-Only Switch Panel
Pre-production — evaluation samples available, specifications subject to change
The current never comes into the cabin. The control box switches it in the engine bay and what you hold is a radio handset, so there is no loaded conductor behind the dash to chafe, melt or be drilled through.
- Circuits
- 8
- Voltage
- 12V DC
- Total current
- ≤80A total
Eight fused circuits controlled from one wireless panel — no dash panel to wire
Nothing wired to the dash
The control box carries the current in the engine bay and the panel is a radio handset. No loom through the firewall, and no loaded conductor behind the trim.
60 m from the vehicle
Far enough to be at the winch, the awning or the spotter end of a tight reverse and still have the switches in your hand.
Two to three weeks a charge
With the backlight on, and longer if you keep it dim. It charges off the same USB-C lead as everything else in the vehicle.
RGB, colour and brightness
Set it to match the rest of the cabin at night, and turn it down when you want your night vision back.
What it does
- One wireless panel, paired at the factory — there is no wired dash panel to run a loom to
- Eight circuits, graded 2×30A, 2×20A, 2×10A and 2×5A, each on its own replaceable fuse in the control box
- Four modes per circuit: steady, momentary, strobe and SOS
- Channel memory — every circuit returns to the state it was in when the system was last powered down
- RGB backlight with the colour and the brightness both adjustable
- About 15 to 20 days per charge with the backlight on, depending on how you use it and how bright you keep it, and it charges over USB-C
- Works up to about 60 m from the control box on 433 MHz
- Kit: control box, wireless panel, panel cradle, 80A circuit breaker, wiring harness and fuses, 433 MHz antenna and a USB-C charging lead
- A second wireless panel can be added to the kit, quoted with the order
Where it goes
Built for overlanding rigs, 4WD touring builds, utes, trucks and recovery vehicles running 12V DC systems. The control box mounts in the engine bay; the switch head sits within reach on the dash or console.
Typical loads on a 8-circuit build: driving lights, a light bar, work lights, an air compressor, a dual-battery fridge, rock lights and camp lighting — each on its own protected channel.
Rated for -40°C to 80°C (control box), so it holds up from a Scandinavian winter to an Australian summer.

Specifications marked to be confirmed are awaiting written confirmation from the production line. We would rather leave a field blank than publish a number we cannot stand behind — ask us and we will chase it for you.
Certification
No certificate on file covers the TC-SW8D. The certificates this line does hold were issued against other models, and a certificate names the product it was tested on — so we do not list a mark for this one. Certification can be arranged where an order needs it. Which marks, against which standards, and where testing sits in the schedule are settled with you and confirmed in writing, like every other term of an order.
RuggedRay products are designed, manufactured and certified under Guangzhou Trutec Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.
Radio approval: The panel reaches the control box on 433 MHz. Its radio approval (CE RED / FCC ID) can be arranged for volume orders, confirmed per order.
Questions buyers ask
- Will the TC-SW8D run on a 24V truck?
- The TC-SW8D is specified 12V DC, and that is the figure we have in writing. Whether it will also run on 24V is with the factory — we would rather tell you that than guess, so ask us and we will put the answer in writing before you order. If you need a 24V panel today, the TC-SW8 accepts 12–24V DC and gives you the same 8 circuits.
- Can I run a winch through it?
- Not directly. The highest-rated channel on the TC-SW8D is 2×30A, which suits lighting, compressors, fridges and pumps. A winch needs its own solenoid or contactor fed straight from the battery — the panel can switch that contactor.
- What happens if a circuit overloads?
- Each circuit carries its own fuse in the control box, so an overload opens that one circuit and leaves the rest running. Fuses are standard blade type — carry a couple of spares and you can swap one on the track in under a minute.
- Do you supply custom icons and packaging?
- Yes. custom icon sets, logo printing and retail packaging are available for dealer and distributor programmes. Talk to us about volumes.
- What is the warranty?
- The TC-SW8D is pre-production, so its warranty term is set when the model goes into production rather than now. Evaluation samples are available in the meantime. Ask us and we will tell you where it stands.
