Dealer & Distributor Program

Stock a line you can stand behind

Our dealers sell to people who go a long way from a workshop. So the thing we ask you to put your name to is the thing we build first: electrical gear that does not fail in the dark, backed by test certificates you can put in front of a customer.

Who we work with

No exclusive territory carve-ups and no dealer tiers to climb. If you sell to drivers who actually use the gear, we want the conversation.

  • Retailers and 4WD accessory chains

From independent overland shops to accessory chains — brick-and-mortar and online alike. If you carry recovery, touring or 12V gear, our lighting and switching line will not turn up next season under three other brand names.

  • Installers and fitment shops

If you are the one wiring it in, you carry the callback. Our panels are built around that: labelled circuits, sealed connections, documented current limits.

  • Regional distributors

Volume buyers supplying a market or a retail network. Mixed containers across all lines, and direct access to the people who define the products.

Somewhere else in the chain — workshop groups, buying co-ops, or a project we have not thought of? If you move product to real users, write us anyway.

Why carry RuggedRay

Four things a distributor asks before they commit shelf space, answered in the order they matter.

  • Certificates, not adjectives

Our switch panels hold CE, FCC, RoHS 2.0, REACH certification with numbers and an issuing laboratory you can check. Where a line has no certificate yet, we say so on the page rather than borrow a claim.

  • Designed here, not rebadged

Concept, electronics, display interface and app are defined in-house, and the factory builds to that specification. When a customer asks you a hard technical question, the answer exists.

  • A switch line that is genuinely different

Touchscreen and electronic-fuse switching is where we put our engineering. It is a line most catalogues cannot match, and it sells the rest of the build with it.

  • One conversation, not a chain

You deal with the brand directly — pricing, specification changes, warranty. Guangzhou is a strength here: our engineers are minutes from the production line.

Terms, and how they get set

We do not post a blanket policy, because the honest answer depends on the order. Each of these is quoted against your actual model list and confirmed in writing before anything is made — ask, and you get a number rather than a maybe.

  • Minimum order

Set against the models and the volume in your enquiry. A shop testing one line and a distributor filling a container are not sensibly held to the same number, so we do not pretend they are.

  • Lead time

Quoted once the model list is fixed, and stated in the proforma invoice rather than as a range on a web page. A mixed order spanning several lines runs longer than a single line.

  • Samples

Sample cost, shipping and whether it is credited against a first production order are agreed before anything ships. We would rather you tested the product than took our word for it.

  • Payment

Deposit and balance terms are set in the proforma invoice, before production starts. Nothing is made against terms you have not seen in writing.

  • Private label

Whether your brand goes on the product, the packaging or both — and what that changes in tooling, minimums and lead time.

  • Territory

Whether your market is worked exclusively or shared, and what commitment that is tied to. Worth raising early; it is harder to unwind later.

  • Shipping

Incoterm, forwarder and who books the freight. We quote either way, and we will tell you when your own forwarder is the cheaper answer.

  • Warranty handling

How a dealer raises a claim, what evidence it needs, and whether replacements travel with your next order. Product warranty periods themselves are on each product page.

Everything above lands in one document: the quotation and the proforma invoice that follows it. Nothing is produced against terms you have not seen and agreed.

How it works

  1. 01

    Tell us your market

The application below, WhatsApp or email — whichever suits. Where you sell, what you already stock, which lines interest you. It reaches the same people either way.

  2. 02

    Quote and samples

We quote against your actual model list, not a blanket price sheet, and the quotation carries the terms in full. Samples are arranged in the same conversation.

  3. 03

    First order

Everything agreed goes into the proforma invoice before production starts — nothing is made against terms you have not seen. Shipping documents and test data travel with the goods.

  4. 04

    Then the part that matters

Restocking, product photography, specification sheets, and a direct line to the engineers who defined the product when a customer asks something we have not answered yet.

What is certified, and what is not

A certification mark is a legal declaration, so we publish only what we hold on file. This is the whole picture, including the gaps.

RuggedRay products are designed, manufactured and certified under Guangzhou Trutec Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. Certificates list both trademarks and are issued to that entity, so the company on the paperwork is the company you are buying from. Full certificate numbers, standards and issuing laboratory are on each product page.
